The Fund Administration team deals with the entire life-cycle of a Private Equity fund, from inception to liquidation, working closely with managers, custodians and outside auditors. The Private Equity funds represent all the segments of Private Equity – venture, expansion and buyout – and also mezzanine debt funds and funds of funds.

This broad range of services is flexible and adaptable to the needs of fund management teams and investors.

The team is in charge of 34 Private Equity funds with commitments totalling €3,500 million at 30 June 2009:
- 21 funds managed by BNP Paribas Private Equity (€800 million)
- 13 funds managed by other management companies linked to BNP Paribas Private Equity or by former subsidiaries (€2,700 million)

These Private Equity funds include 16 venture funds, 7 innovation funds, 2 local investment funds, 2 funds of funds and 7 feeder funds.

The team helps the Strategy and Development team in extending the third party Private Equity funds activity alongside BNP Paribas Investment Partners. Its input includes:

• advice on management procedures,
• fund structuring,
• best practice, specific accounting reports, compliance and internal control, and reporting.

BNP Paribas Private Equity advises BNP Paribas Securities Services on the deployment of an integrated front/back office information system designed especially for Private Equity.

BNP Paribas Private Equity also has a special relationship with BNP Paribas Assurance and BNP Paribas Wealth Management for promoting Private Equity investments to wealth-management clients.
